scenery, sand and cows (and the odd wombat)!

My husband, 3 year old and I had a wonderful extended stay at the appropriately named Far View which does indeed have a wonderful view across lush fields full of cows to the Bald Hills wind farm way in the distance. Far View became a bit of a home away from home for us, made easy by the fact that the house is so well set up. With a coffee maker, reverse cycle heating in every room and a TV in all 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a washing machine and drier (plus lots of games and even some bikes), we were super well catered for. The house is also really well set up for kids and/or pets with a big locked garden. It's just 10 minutes walk through a lovely track through sea dunes and tea trees to Venus Bay's idyllic main beach and a similarly short walk into town (a general store, a couple of good cafes, a fish and chippery). We absolutely loved our stay here and would be back in a shot! Joseph and Helen are wonderful hosts and great communicators.

Peaceful get away

Thank you to the owners who have taken great care and consideration to ensure nothing was needed on our recent stay at Far View. What a delightful home with magnificent views. We did not even turn on the TV for the 3 nights we were there, as we couldn’t tear our gaze away from the magnificent view across the green paddocks full of cows. The weather was a quite cold and rainy but we did not care as we were as warm as toast inside with reverse cycle air conditioners in every room and electric blankets on the beds kept us warm at night. The house is impeccably clean and beautifully decorated and we wanted for nothing. A well-stocked kitchen with appliances meant we could cook all our meals and even bake a cake. The coffee machine was a welcome inclusion for the caffeine addicted and so thoughtful to have a carton of milk in the fridge for that all-important coffee and cup of tea when you first arrive. The supply of games was fantastic (with some old favourites and new) as we spent our evenings happily the playing the board games provided. The house was also perfect for our four legged babies. Our 2 dogs spent the weekend happily sniffing out all of the corners of the yard outside and I had peace of mind that the yard was fully secure with a fence all around and knew they couldn’t escape. A very relaxing holiday was had by all!!
